Volunteers Needed

Our local food program, Dakota Senior Meals, is in need of more volunteers to deliver daily meals to our residents. The City's Senior Service Center helps to coordinate the daily delivery to homebound residents so they are able to have a healthy and nutritious meal. Please contact the Senior Service Center at 605-232-0808 to sign up today.

NSC Senior Service Center

On the 15th day of June 1979, a non-for-profit organization was incorporated by residents of North Sioux and established the Senior Service Center.

The purpose of this organization is to:
-- plan and promote civic and beneficial programs for all residents 55 years or older who live in the area
-- develop meaningful and creative services for individuals and groups
-- make available community resources and plans relating to older people
-- provide a specific facility for older people to meet the changing needs (concerns and interests) of their lives, finding channels to accommodate those needs, and
-- provide social services.

The Senior Service Center is "home base" for Dakota Senior Meals, and home delivered meals.
