Spring City-Wide Clean Up - Date Set

Saturday, April 14, and Sunday April 15

Twice a year, city residents come together to help make North Sioux City a clean place to live. The City provides garbage dumpsters at the Public Works maintenance building, free of charge, to allow residents to dispose of any unwanted trash and debris. Tire disposal is still $3 per tire.

Saturday Hours: 8 am - 4 pm
Sunday Hours: 8 am - 2 pm

North Soo Daze - A Community Celebration

North Sioux City Daze's is for the whole family. Fun, Food, and Friends. This event is typically scheduled prior to school starting in the fall.

This community event is made successful due to the many volunteers who make it happen. Over the years, our activities included: Pancake Breakfast, Chili Cook-off, Volleyball Tournaments, Dunk Tanks, Kids Carnival & Games, Ball Game, Horseshoe Tournaments, Teen Dance, and much more. National Night Out

National Night Out … America's Night Out Against Crime

This unique crime/drug prevention event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Last year's 28th annual National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,325 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 37.1 million people participated in National Night Out 2011.

Throughout the nation, along with the traditional 'lights on' and front porch vigils, there were thousands upon thousands of block parties, cookouts, parades, ice cream socials, neighborhood visits by law enforment agencies, flashlight walks, safety fairs, poster and essay contests, neighborhood meetings and hundreds of other events and activities.

Chili Feed

The City of North Sioux City hosts an annual Community Chili Feed each December for the residents of North Sioux City. The city partners with several organizations, such as Greater Dakota Valley Jaycees, American Legion Post #319, Dakota Valley schools, NSC Community Library, to make this an annual event you don't want to miss. Event details will be posted on the City's website and in our local newspaper.
