NSC
Housing & Redevelopment
Commission (HRC)

North Sioux's HRC was created in 1996. It was established to provide affordable housing in North Sioux City, SD.

The first project the Housing Commission started was an apartment complex for Senior Citizens. It is called New Horizons, and offers both single and double bedroom apartments. It is operated by the HRC, and Harry is the contact person (605-235-1532).

The trend continued, on the success of New Horizons, with the addition of North Port Apartments and Prairie Lake Apartments, offering one bedroom apartments. Both of these complexes were built and are operated by Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, and are subsidized apartments. Contact Jean at 712-898-7544 with any questions.

2011 marked the year the NSC Housing Commission embarked on a housing development for affordable housing. Click the Harvest Bend page.
